The benefit to the community of having a combination station is emergency service coverage 24/7, which in turn provides a better Insurance Service Office (ISO) rating for the community.

FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS OF THE URBANA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT… SANTA will be making his appearance on the Fire Truck at the Following location weather permitting:

Friday December 8th –
Giant Parking Lot – arriving 6:45 until 7:15
Old Church Estates – arriving 7:30

Tuesday December 12th –
Highlands Pool (Villages of Urbana) 6:30 until 7:15

Sunday December 17th –
Ball Park off Araby Church Rd.- arriving 5:00pm until 5:15
Sugarloaf Estates – arriving around 6:15

The Frederick County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association held its annual Volunteer Fire and Rescue Recognition Program on April 21. The program, which took place at the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Co., provided an opportunity to recognize a few of the many contributions volunteer personnel make in providing fire and rescue service to the residents of Frederick County.
